Dr.Daryl Johnson is a psychologist and licensed professional counselor in Washington, DC and is the owner of In Session Counseling & Consulting, LLC. In her private practice, she specializes in both individual and couples counseling to include primary areas of interest in attachment theory and infidelity recovery.
Her approach toward counseling is heavily focused on the therapeutic relationship and she places a strong emphasis on co-creating an environment where clients feel safe, supported, and challenged to become the best possible version of themselves.

Daryl completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Philosophy at Gettysburg College, a Master’s Degree in Counseling at Trinity Washington University, and a PhD in Psychology at Northcentral University.
She has worked as a victim specialist for Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency as well as a social worker aid for the District of Columbia Superior Court. Daryl currently provides therapeutic services to incarcerated individuals in Washington, DC, is an adjunct psychology professor, and serves as a mental health provider at a mental health and medical clinic in the state of Virginia.
